The main reason for fitness is health. Being fit and health go hand in hand. Physical exercise along with proper diet are important for maintaining physical fitness. This can contribute positively to maintaining a healthy weight, building and maintaining healthy bone density, muscle strength, and joint mobility. Staying physically fit will also help with promoting physiological well-being, reducing surgical risks, and strengthening the immune system. Exercise reduces levels of cortisol, which causes many health problems, both physical and mental.
Health can mean many of things. For starters it refers to how we eat. A person can nor be fit with exercise alone. To set ourselves up for success we must learn to eat healthy foods that still taste delicious and satisfy our minds as well as our bodies. Eating healthy can be complex. To put it simple one should eat all whole foods, avoid concentrated sugars and simple carbs, minimize grain intake, eat lots of healthy fats and proteins from organic produce and grass fed free range meats.
Another thing that comes to mind when I hear “health” is mental health. Our minds and bodies are way more connected than many health care professionals talk about. As a matter of fact they are so connected they are one thing not to separate things that connect. No matter how fit your body if your mind is not well then you immune system amongst other bodily functions suffer. If the body is not nourished and exercised then the brain will never function properly, and depression/anxiety forget it.
A less talked about health issue is “sex and health”. Why? Let’s talk about it. The healthier our minds and bodies are the more sexually attractive we are. Also the better we are at seeing the beauty in others. With stronger attraction comes more passionate sex. Also with our bodies in peak condition we can perform better (and longer) in the bedroom. “Sex and Health” is a two way street. The more sex a person has the better physical and in turn mental health a one can achieve. This does not mean you have to compromise your moral values. Simple find some one that you love and go to town. Be honest open up. Make sure to be in tune with what stimulates your partner. Can you think of a more inviting workout?
Let’s not forget our mothers to be. When done correct exercising during pregnancy is 100% safe. In addition to this it offers great health benefits to both the mother and the child. If you aren’t pregnant yet but planning on it now is a good time to get your body use to a daily work out.
Put all of these things together with getting proper sleep and you can achieve optimal health. Remember I said the mind and body are one? Well that means the whole body is one. Yes the health of your feet effect the health of your ear drum. I know it sounds weird but that is how it is.
